Silver 25th Anniversary Special Event Award – FQP Silver Spelling Bee!
In honor of the 25th FQP Anniversary that’s happening in 2022, we had a total of 25 special 1×1 stations, listed below, with one suffix for each letter of the alphabet except the letter X (FCC regulation). There are a total of 21 SSB and 21 CW stations active; please see list of stations below. The FQP SILVER SPELLING BEE is a 1×1 Sweep and endorsed for either Mixed or CW or SSB modes.25 years – wow! Despite challenges from many angles – The sun, weather, etc… – The 25th FQP was a huge success! The Out-of-State support combined with Florida’s over 100 fixed stations, 8 mobiles and 5 expeditions made for an epic weekend !
How to Play
Mixed Mode Endorsement (Mixed, CW and SSB entrants are eligible) Contact all 25 of the 1×1 stations to earn this endorsement. You will need to operate both modes to do this. Note: If you are a single mode entry (CW or SSB) then please submit a separate check log for the extra four 1×1’s on the other mode. Example: K9CT is a CW-only entry and works the 21 CW/Mixed stations on CW, but also works the four SSB-only 1×1’s (N4D, N4H, N4L and N4V). To earn the Mixed Mode Endorsement, Craig will submit both his normal CW entry *and* a SSB check log that includes these 4 QSO’s. Similarly, a SSB-only entry would work the 21 SSB/Mixed stations on SSB, plus the four CW-only (1×1’s (N4C, N4J, N4Q and N4Z) and submit the SSB log as usual plus a CW check log that includes these 4 QSO’s. CW or SSB Mode Endorsement (Mixed, CW and SSB entrants are eligible) Contact all 21 of the 1×1 stations on a single mode to earn this endorsement.- CW entries who contact all 21 CW and Mixed 1×1’s on CW earn the award.
- SSB entries who contact all 21 SSB and Mixed entries on SSB earn the award.
